cutting diet help

hey guys,
i'm not sure about my cutting diet so here it goes:
my bulking diet is 1000 caloric surplus before i can gain a reasonable amount of weight in a cycle. does this affect my cutting caloric level too? Meaning... i have a BRM of 2000 calories. should i still bring it down to 1500 and do cardio for about 500 calories more. or should i just stay at 2000 calories and just do cardio for about 500 calories.

i'm planning on a CKD type of diet (although carbs not too low) along with HIT.

What BF% are you at the mo? Try a 500cal def for now, after being used to eating 3000cals a day its really hard to eat less.

Moniter weight and BF% weekly (same time of day, take into account if you've been to the bathroom, if you've eaten before hand etc so its accurate) and adjust your diet/exercise routine accordingly. I take it you mean HIIT, not Mr. Mentzer's HIT...

oh yeah i meant HIIT. haha. i think i'm above 10% i haven't checked it yet.
so i have to eat 500 less than my BMR? plus my 500 calorie i should burn with cardio?

Your total metabolic needs is your BMR (which is what you burn if you just sat all day), plus any incidental activity you do, (any walking, moving things around etc.) plus the exercise you do (HIIT, lifting etc.).

So if your BMR is actually your BMR plus light activity, then just add 500 for your HIIT, then your total metabolic needs for the day will be about 2500, or more if you haven't counted walking around etc. So you'd need to eat 2000 cals for a 500 cal deficit. If that doesn't result in steady fat loss then eat a little bit less, or do a little bit more, progressively, until you reach about 1-2lb of fat loss per week.

okay... so since i'm burning of 500 extra calories from HIIT, i need to add 500 more to my BMR? then.... a 500 caloric deficit. so i really just have to eat at my BMR?

i'm just confused where the deficit must come from... from reducing calorie intake or from cardio?

Cutting isn't that hard and doesn't require that much thought. I see that you are willing to manipulate carbs, but don't want to take them too low.

Think about something like this.

10 calories/lb consisting of 40% fat, 35% protein, 25% carbs. All carbs are pre and post workout only. All other meals are protein/fat meals. You won't become Mr O. while doing this from adding huge slabs of muscle, you will however, burn fat while keeping or adding some muscle. Most who do this see the scales not changing much, but the fat melting away and notice they are still getting stronger.

okay hey guys... since i'm planning to do a CKD... i read the articles on thinkmuscle and it says to weight train at 70% of maximum weight. i want to preserve as much muscle as possible so will going beyond 70% be bad.

i'm planning to do cardio MWF and do weight training on T TH. is that ok?
thanks for any help

I would take some BCCA .
Here is something I read a while back which made me do some research to see if it was accurate . And it was  according to a few university and other sources

“ BCAA=branched chain amino acids, the building blocks of muscle. The research demonstrating the muscle sparing effect while on a diet as well as muscle building effect when take prior and post exercise. “

Here are a few that you may try .leucine, isoleucine, and valine.
In addition, Make sure you are doing some creatine  as well.
Hey ! Don't take my word for it . Do your own research.
