Daily calorie intake

Well, a online calculater calculated that my daily calorie balance was 3884! Which seems like quite a bit since i'm only 65kg heavy. Not a lot and with very low BF. I work-out thrice a week. does some running twice a week and thats it. Well yeah, and partyes in the weekend

But i still seems like a great deal, and i have to eat past 4000cal to gain. I hope that's not true?

That may not necessarily be true.

A lot of people tend to take in so much calories. Their intake is overestimated. Good for bulking. Or so they say. I have a different opinion, since too much calories just makes you pack on more fat. Balance as always.

Multiply your weight in pounds by 16 or 18. Multiplying it by 12 gives you more or less your BMR if you are hardly active. 16 is good for active individuals. Start at somewhere around 16 or 18x your weight in pounds. If you don't seem to be gaining anything after a week or so, add a few hundred calories. Don't go crazy, or else a lot of your mass gain will be fat, which you will just remove in a cutting cycle, so why bother?

Great. I agree und the bulking, no need for fat. But where do you have those multiplying numbers from(16-18)? Would like to know what they meant.

There is a spreadsheet floating around somewhere, I believe created by savagebeast that automates the formula in Eating for Size and also has the dietary recommendations from Jules aka Vicious in it. It might be in the Customizing HST thread.
 
Thats WAY too much..as i have no knowledge of your daily routines i can just roughly estimate that it somewhere more near to 3000 than 4000 thousand.
However there is no calculator which would be accurate...stick to one level of calories and look what happens to you in couple of weeks....
