Expired Creatine

I haven't been using creatine since I started HST. I wanted to see results without the creatine.

It expired Dec 2006. Is it still effective to use or is it now the useless by product or whatnot?

Thanks

Creatine can't read. It doesn't know what's written on the container.

With the exception of Morphine, Valium, and Demerol (they have to be destroyed in front of the DEA guy) we used to send all our expired or close to expiration drugs to the various agencies that provide volunteer medical care in third world countries. The agencies always were appreciative of it and said that the drugs were actually fine for a couple of years after expiration. Then some government official stopped us because they decided we were being racist for donating old drugs we couldn't use anymore to someone who could actually use them. They told us we had to buy new stuff if we wished to donate drugs.

I tend to believe the people who were telling us that they were getting good use and the drugs were working as intended even past expiration over some guy in Washington who's never administered medication in his life.

I know that OTC supplements, not FDA inspected may not hold up as well or as long, but still...should be OK.

I've seen this c**p too. Call me a cynic, but I smell big pharma behind this kind of government policy.

Most of the time pharmaceuticals are given the expiration date for the worst possible conditions. This would roughly be a leaky container in 100% at 35C year round. This generally means they are good for quite some time after the expiration date.

The creatine should be good for a few years after the expiration date provided it was stored in a tightly sealed container in a cool, dark place.

Creatine Monohydrate mix is ingested as a sugar mix, so yes there are calories.

It sure would be different. Just like our Social Security system would be reformed if all those yahoos in Washington had to retire on it like everyone else in the country. Unfortunately unless we take up arms and "reform" our government those types of things will never change.

Are you sure creatine doesn't have any calories?

After all its an energy source that turns ADP back into ATP, so it must have stored energy.

You can look it up if you want, but as far as I know, creatine monohydrate has no caloric value unless someone has added sugar or whatever else to it.

I guess what that means is that it can't be converted into fat, but I still would be inclined to believe it has stored energy, and therefore would have a caloric value (like a piece of wood that can be burned for energy)

You are so right... but the United States of America needs a reform period across the board for:

A) How they have distanced theirselves from the four fathers and their interpretation of the Constitution.
B) Social Programs FDR set up

Social Security should be set up like any other retirement fund. If you do not pay into it (premiums), you should not receive the benefit. I just heard that illegal aliens are granted access to receive SS benefits. How in the world is that possible, or even rational? The same goes for welfare policies.

Side note... the more liberal this country becomes, it will have to hit such a reform period. Either that, or the USA will be communist. I am very sure the latter is next to impossible.
