Glycemic Index Averages

How should I average GI across a product of foods? Do I take the straight average, carbohydrate weighted average, net carb weighted average, glycemic load weighted average, or calorie weighted average?
 
Okay, so I have specs on GL... I change them into GI, and then I average them with other GI's of foods I have eaten regardless of the different calories and carbohydrates?
