need some help...

I'm looking for a good highly concentrated simple carb to use post workout. I was thinking honey, but I'm not farmilar with the contence of honey. I'll have to look into it. Of course, I'll also be drinking a high calorie nutrient dense protien shake or eating an asortment of whoe foods post workout, but I'm striving for 150g of carbs post WO. 150g of carbs is hell to get down with whole foods - at least for me.

Any suggestions??

Yeh I too could use some helpful clarification about which type of carbs are ideal for post-WO. So long as it's a high GI sugar/carb then does it matter beyond that?

i.e. Is there a difference b/t honey, soft drink (like Sprite for instance), sweets, etc...?

OK, new question:

How much dextro to malto? What's the ratio? Malto = 47carbs per serving @ 1/2cup, but dextro = only 4gcarbs per serving @ "it doesnt say. It says dextro can be used in the place of table sugar, that its sweet, so I couldnt imagine using more than 1 or 2 servings (whatever that might be).

Anyone know?

I'm going to order both malto 7lbs jug for 12.00 and dextro 2lbs jug for 2.00, but i'm going to mix them together when i get them. I need to know how much of each to use.

Yes I've read it, but it's not convenient to have dextrose/maltodextrin on hand at the end of where I work out, simply put. So which are the good 'real' food alternatives?

Well, the Smarties candies are made of dextrose..... I guess you could put like 10 rolls in your pocket if the act of chewing "real" food makes that much of a difference to you.

BTW, what do you mean that it's not convenient to have dextrose where you work out?

Sweet potatoes for sure - go out and get you a bunch, masht hem up, and eat them. There is your "real" whole food alternatives.

And I think he means near the end of his HST program, if that is indeed what he's doing, which means SD is comming up.

I would get the malto/dextro anyway. Look here:
