HST to get big then HIT to get strong?

From all that I have read on this site it seem that HIT training will eventually hit a Plateau when you made as many neuromuscular improvements as you can and strength improvements get stifled by muscle size. Am I right on this regard? Would you see quicker gains in strength by using HST to get your size up then use HIT than just using HIT alone? While most of us have the #1 priority of gaining muscle mass and looking good nekkid, It would still be great to have the strength to back up the brawn. Maybe after every 3 to 4 HST cycles we could do an HIT cycle. Would there be any problem with resuming HST after and HIT cycle? I wouldn't like it if I looked as good as a Ferrari but only had the power of a 4 cylinder. What do you guys think?

Sorry for the duplicate thread the site crashed on me right when I was posting and I did no think the first one went through.

@BoSox

Why being so negative on HIT?
When used in a good way, and when finding how it works for your body, it actually can give very good progress... (Both in size and strength imho).
