I'm not one to buy supplements, but I've read enough about Omega 3's to believe I should be getting them into my diet. Smart balance and eggs are how I've decided to try to get them.

About the peanut butter, the cost is pretty high. About $3.50 for a 16 ounce container. That's about twice normal peanut butter, or a dollar or so more than other natural peanut butters.

It has no added sugar, except for a little molasses for color. (So they say.)

The flavor, well it isn't the greeatest thing, that's for sure. But I rarely eat plain peanut butter. Most of the time, it is stirred in with my oatmeal. For this, the Smart Balance does just fine.

If you are a peanut butter connisseur, then this is not for you. If you want Omega 3s, without having to buy supps, this may balance out cost -wise.

Hope this is helpful.

I eat flax seed bread and natural peanut better. Its just peanuts so no salt sugar or oil added. And natural peanut butter tasts better than the processed crap.

I go thru 2 jars a week (and use their "butter too"). Most grocery stores will give you case price on about anything. That's how I get PB, honey, 12 grain oats, whole flax seed, chicken breasts and whole chix, shaved turkey, etc. from HyVee. Skippy makes a good organic PB also, for half the price, and there's a new one out called PB+ or somethin like that, has Soy butter, etc. in it and is purdy bomb health wise

We humans are the most adaptable animals on earth. If the PB tastes off to you, just go ahead and finish a jar or three, or whatever healthy product it is you're trying out, before canning it. You may find you get a taste for it later, and will be healthier for it. Like slowly using less sugar or eating more veggies.

As a teen I used to love 7-11 food and such garbage! I wouldn't eat a plate full of homemade food.

That peanut butter is nothing but penut butter with molasses(have fun with the extra insulin spike

)sarcasm*. I eat about 2-3 servings of peanut butter a day. Get something like Smucker's Natural Chunky. It is just as good but w/o the added sugar. And if you are concerned about omega 3, consume flax seeds or fish and that should take care of all your fat worries.
