kind of gross question

This is embarrassing, but what the heck . . .

I'm trying to keep my calories up (around bw x 16), but I am crapping like 4 – 5 times a day - no lie.

I don't eat junk food, so it is all coming from fruits, veggies, whole grains, good fats, and lean proteins. But man, I am spending half the day on the toilet. I feel like all those extra calories are just going to waste, literally.

Has anyone else experienced this?

in my limited experience I would say that crap is not food, its the dead bacteria from digesting food so nothings getting wasted and as long as you're not getting fat then I wouldn't worry about it too much. The fibre from veggies and fruit will also keep you regular.
Saying that, 5 times a day does sound a lot though. Is it runny poo or solid? If its runny then maybe theres a problem.

No worries, the food is going where it needs to be. A high fiber diet makes you crap more anyway. I unload 7-10 times daily on a good day when I’m gaining weight. Just remember, take a crap before squats, we don't want any accidents.
