Hi all, I will soon be training in the comfort of my own home, in my garage. I'm gonna buy bumper plates but I need a lifting platform. Is it possible instead to just do cleans (and drop the bar) on the grass in my back garden? Will it damage the bumpers or the bar?

Damn, those things are expensive. That's £31.99 (about $64) for EACH plate!! There's gotta be something cheaper out there.
