Macronutrient Partitioning

I continue to read "support" research on macronutrient partitioning in regards to PC and PF meals and insulin response blah,blah,blah. Berardi's zealots seem to love this approach. I did some Medline research and came up with NOTHING to support this other than a tertiary study with high-GI carbs with same calories in a no exercise control. Anyone have an opinion to this form of diet?
 
MHO: The body learns to work around almost anything you throw at it, partitioning-wise.

I don't think that approach has any special benefit.
 
I feel this is just another way to reduce calories and another attempt to find magic bullets. I do decrease CHO throughout the day b/c it help control my appetite, but no strict form of this.
