Milk and pasteurization

This article argues that pasteurization, antibiotics, and the general mistreatment of cows destroys milk's nutritive qualities. What are everyone's thoughts on this? I can't wait to here what you guys think if this is true I need to switch to soy milk and soy isolate powder...

That probably explains why the classic "Squats and Milk" workout program has been such a colossal failure for decades...

I dunno, milk has gone from $3.18 to $4.27 a gallon in the last 3 months! It must surely have MORE stuff in it now!!! (rolleyes...)
or is there a cow shortage now?

Funny you mention that, it must be a one world government thing, our milk has also gone through the roof.

I keep saying it is a marketting scam, as we are now getting something called (Yes-Hi Calcium), damn these people can be retarded...Hardly thing the milk has any more calcioum than it did when they milked it

World economy...

Reasons milk has gone up in the US can be contributed to a few different reasons. The ethanol craze has had a ripple effect through the agricultural industry. Also, milk prices have a nature to be fairly volatile.

Completely off topic, I know... but could you elaborate? Is this because a lot of farmers who had previously been dedicated to milking cows, are switching to producing corn? I'm an economics/business geek.

Cows' feed is made largely from corn. The price of feeding cows has gone up because of stupid, worthless ethanol, so milk and dairy prices, even whey, have all gone up. Looks like that trend will continue too, since the brain washing of "Holy ethanol" is really taking hold of idiots all over the U.S.

Hmmm, makes sense. I'll expect the whey powder prices to start going up soon then.
What if we took all the grass clippings from the lawn butchers and fed that to the cows instead? The mexi yardforce in Atlanta alone could supply the US, create more jobs and we'd have cheap milk and whey, huh? (while driving those "economy" fueled vehicles)
Better yet, why not make ethanol out of grass clippings or something.

I've already noticed that some whey powder prices have risen nearly 50%.

Yow! There is some work being done on cellulosic sources for ethanol, but I am not sure how viable this is.

Early stages. THere is a palce in NZ researching bacterial derived ethanol etc from woodbulk, which would be good, at least for the NZ wood industry that has not been profitable for a fair while.
