MILK FOR PROTEIN

Guys I have thought about drinking 9 glasses of skim milk a day...the reason being its cheap protein and I love milk. Is this a good thing to do or is this a bad thing to do. I know milk it kind of out of the question if you are trying to cut, but for a bulk. What do you think?

Why is milk out of the question if you cut? It really depends how your caloric balance is... and isn't there some new fad diet based off dairy foods.

I don't see any problem with 9 glasses of milk a day. On average, I will drink 10 cups of milk a day.

only reason I say during cutting is that, I am unable to cook every meal there is b/c of career and work.

Therefor I am forced to eat out maybe 1 a day.

Which leads to more calories during that lunch meal...however I can still get a good fast food lunch with only 5 grams fat and 400 calories with 30= grams protein.

Anyway...at 188 pounds and 12 to 13% bf right now I need to keep my calories around 2,000 a day to cut.
2,000 calories may be too low, but I have a desk job...so the only moving around I do is at the gym.

9 cups of milk equals 810 calories a day and 81 grams of protein...which is awesome for protein but the extra calories added to the 2,000 a day or 2200 a day I get in makes it hard to cut?

Maybe I am looking at this wrong???

This is why in the off-season or winter time I look great!

I tend to eat more and drink plenty of milk...I start packing on the muscle goodo, however i get big easy so does the stomach...so when i start to cut to show off the muscle this is were I end up?

Any suggestions?

Just substitute some of those food calories with milk... and doesn't 2000-2200 seem kinda low... I was thinking 2500-2700 should be good for you for cutting.

I think you are right with the Calories Colby...its so damn hard to tell with this Desk job.

Thanks again

per se, the fact of drinking 9 glasses of milk is not bad.... it is good, milk protein ranks among the best for the absortion values.... when you say it is not good for cutting.... actually , it is not recomended when you want to get to exteme low values in bf%, bodybuilding competition levels of 3-4%... but as for the rest you can and you will have your 6-packs in sight... milk is very good and if it is skimmed then much better... calcium, and they come enriched with a bunch of other minerals and vitamins.... the only thing is that you may get bored to death after a while... in the past bodybuilders lived on tuna, eggs and milk... tons of them....and I mean guys like Arnold, D. Draper, F. Zane, etc.

If you rely on milk, your only getting a certain amount of nutrients, you should really vary your food to get the most benefits.
