muscle memory

    hey guys, got a question that I'm hoping you could help me with.

    Havent been able to work out or anything for the last 6 months or so...been crazy busy.

    i always read that, you shouldnt expect to gain more than 4lbs of muscle a month...assuming all the right conditions are met unless you have great genetics.

    everybody who has worked out knows that they seem to grow the quickest when they first start working out, provided they know what they are doing.

    Muscle memory is another factor.......right?
    people who have been at a certain level before have a much faster and easier time getting back to that level once they've fallen off than some1 who has never been there..

    assuming some1 with about average genetics falls under these 2 it possible to gain more than 4 lbs of muscle that first month he starts back on?

    i would definitely appreciate your thoughts on this!

    You should be able to get back to where you were within 3 months.

    As for gaining 4 pounds per month for the next 12 months, that is unlikely unless you are juicing and/or will accept a lot of fat along with some lean body mass. However, 4 pounds or more for the first month only should be attainable although some of it will have to be fat.
