Opinions on Weider Mega Mass 2K

Hi everyone, I'm currently using a "homemade" weight gainer using Champion Pure Whey, oats, peanut butter etc. But I've found that the Champion whey contains sucralose, which many say is bad. Also I seem to get a bit bloated with it.

The only other available powder in the store near me is Weider's Mega Mass 2000. Looking at the label, here are a few things that *seem* good to me:

* has whey, egg, and calcium caseinate (casein?)
* no sucralose
* already has vitamin premix
* has maltodextrin
* has L-glutamine

Are weider products really as bad as people say? Should I stay away or is it acceptable for weight gain, given my choices? Does it really have hormones in it??

Would it be better to go with ProLab N-Large 2 or with a homemade gainer using a casein powder? It's a bit confusing, really.

Thanks so much in advance.

There is nothing wrong with sucralose or else the FDA wouldn't have approved it. But if you don't like it, just get a different kind of whey?

Don't worry about this kind of stuff so much. Go with whatever if more cost effective for you and allows you to reach your calorie/macro-nutrient goals. The important thing to gain muscle is that you get in plenty of calories and pick up heavy stuff quite often.

Tot, I've only disagreed with you once before over something or another. But think about what you said.
The FDA? C'mon man, there are a thousand 'approved' products that are bad for us, although I admit that most of them are that way when used in excess only.

I trust my president; I just don't trust my government. And yeah, I'm mad at him about the supplement bans too, so let's not start a debate, even if I don't use them.
I'm one of you, remember?

Yeah, I get what you are saying, but most people freak out about sucralose because it has chlorine in it. That's their whole basis for why it is bad. That's idiotic because salt also has chlorine in it, yet we've been using that for centuries without much problem. If people would apply a little more critical thinking, they would realize this kind of stuff.
