Hey guys I decided to post my pics. I think I have finished my bulk. Im at 13% BF right now.

I tried to post a comparison picture from last year.

But the only one I had was when I at 183. I actually got down to 174 to 176 .

Right now I am around 192-194 pounds at around 13% bodyfat.

As usual my abs suck, which is why I cut down last year so much. I was trying to have a 6 pack for once in my life. I don't think its in my genetics?

Any advice is appreciated.

Nice arms!
...yeah, I am not sure I want to go to six-pack levels anymore. Everytime I get low enough to get blurry abs I get irritable and I can't seem to lose any more fat without losing alot of strength. Screw it, some guys are built lean, some just are not. I don't think I am willing to get 'shredded' if it mean losing strength.
I just want to get as big and strong as possible without becoming a lardass. Don't we all!

I just think you look better bulked Joe. Maybe you can keep going up until you really hate the look (like I've done) and cut back from there, so you can at least enjoy beef, big workouts and filling out shirts. I'd like to cut back TO 13% bf!!!

Yeah Quad.

I got up to 223 one time....but I looked bad without the shirt and I had to buy all new clothes. I was around 18% bodyfat at that weight.

Keep bulking man. Your pecs look very different and in my opinion better in the bulked pic. Your abs don't really look that different to me. The improvement in pecs and arms seem worth it to me.

Great traps Joe! You definitely look better at 193lbs than you did at 183lbs. How long did you cut to get to 174lbs? I'm just under 200lbs right now (down from 215) but still have a lot of fat to burn. I've been cutting since Jan and figured on going until the end of March or perhaps a bit further if I can stick it out. I get really grumpy on low carbs though. To help a bit I've been carb cycling so I get a few days a week when I'm not like Oscar the grouch. Still, I got 4 reps with 180kgs on Friday for my deads and would have made 5 if I hadn't had to do another set afterwards. So, my strength is pretty much holding out thus far. Hope I can get traps like yours someday.

Holy crapola!...your abs are monstrous Quadancer! You ain't fat, you just got really big, strong abs!!!! It looks like if someone punched you in the stomach, they would break their arm! I can't wait to have muscles like that!

Dayum Carl, I was just thinking the same! My torso is like a Spider Monkey's compared to Quad's. I was always a skinny kid and that legacy still haunts me

Quad you looking good.

I train the hell out of my abs and they are a no show even with some fat on them?

Lol I dieted for about 3 months...I just ate in moderation nothing crazy clean or anything.

However I cut to much weight and lost too much muscle IMO.

I think if I do some carb cycling and drop some water weight minus about 6 pounds from were I am at now I will look ok?

I too think you look better in the "bulked" picture, Joe.

How are you training abs? So many people do high reps for abs, maybe treating them more like a "regular" muscle would help?

Joe, you look better after the bulk, although you look less than 13% bf (this is why I've been trying to understand the true standard!)

Quad, you're a big lean machine - nuff said.

Joe - You look better bulked up, to be real critical...if that's allowed, some work is still required on the lats, traps look good...keep bulking slowly.

Quad - Wow...big guy...looking good, gut does not look fat, just "lekker" big and one can certainly see it ain't lard.

Joe - You look better now than when cut.

Quad - Holy crap, never knew you were that big. You might have some fat stored inside your belly (instead of in the skin) but we can still see your abs so that makes you look really strong

About the "abs"...part of that is years of carpentry, and a lot is a tilted pelvis from muscle imbalances, a problem I'm trying to correct with exersizes.
I can tighten up most of my gut, and anyone who touches it is always surprised to find it rock-hard..BUT, when I sit down it looks like a beer belly and of course in shirts I tend to look really fat. You guys don't want a gut like mine: the light overhead is exemplifying the details and everytime I put on just a little fat; it goes on right at navel level. Those of you with straight trunks or wasp waists can eat a ton and still look good in profile.
It doesn't help that my pecs don't like to grow; I've tried about everything, and am now creating a new program for just me, along with the experimental rep scheme (3-way HST) I've been talking about lately.
Sci, I think you have a similar build, without the bad bone structure. So do Sniggel and LNT. BTW, I did put on a little going from NO abwork to under 25 rep stuff, weighted, aka the 5x5 program. All in the name of getting my squats and deads up, and it worked I guess.

Quad, the only thing that may be worrying is that you may have visceral fat accumulating, as that is a health hazard. The pic doesn`t show an exxagerated ammount of subcutanaeous fat build-up...perhaps you`re a lucky dawg in that respect

Im sorry quad, my english is not always perfect.
Did you mean that I am straight-trunked or had wasp-waist or did you mean that I had a similar build to you?

The first one makes sense because I have discovered now during my cut since 2nd jan (12-13 pounds so far) that it takes time before i see some real definition. I put on fat very well, it makes me look more muscular and I guess i need a lot of BF% before I look fat.

When I started I thought I had around 15% but now I´m suspecting it might have been as high as 20% :-p

Dude, I thought you were from England. Oh well, they don't speak english very well over there either...

If I remember correctly, you are fairly straight-trunked? I can't remember where I saw your pic.

Thanx a LOT Morgoth, now I have something else I'll have to study up on!
Edit: I did a quick study and find that it's mostly a problem for couch potatoes, but thin people can get it too. This was said:
The omentum is a pad of fat weighing two to four pounds that hangs like a curtain in the abdomen. "We estimate that it's more than one-third of the visceral fat."
Mor might be right. I don't do much cardio (the cure for visceral fat) and I've been bulking.

Thanks for the comments and suggestion guys.

I think I am going to go on do a small cut about a month around summer time and then go for over 200 pounds the end of this year !
