Preventing Catabolism

I am still in the process of bulking, but I just started participating in an ultimate frisbee league on Sunday. I always avoid lifting on that day, but what dietary wise can I do to reduce muscle loss from this? For anyone who doesnt know, the cardio equivalent would be like HIIT for approx. 2 hours. My thought would be to lift early on Saturday, then eat a very high carb diet up until game time to try and get glycogen stores up, but I dont know.

I just started an Ultimate frisbee league too that runs on Saturdays, and I just eat a bunch of carbs before and in between games so I have enough energy and don't cramp up.  Should I worry about muscle loss?  I am also interested as of what others have to say.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, if you are eating to compensate for the additional energy needs then it won't matter much.

Carb loading can help (for the additional energy and helping to maintain a postive NB), but IMHO, it wouldn't be necessary, just concentrate on getting enough calories, in appropriate ratios, to stay in a positive energy balance.
