Hello everyone !

I just want to know a good protein calculator on the web !

Or perhaps A technique to calculate precisely protein intake !

Thanks !

Pre and Post WO nutrition is essential.

Daily protein intake should be at least 1g/1 lb of LBM - lean body mass.

I recommend going with the standard 1g/1lb of body weight.

Is it 1 gram/kg or 1 gram/lbs ?

The difference is very big !!

For me i weight 65 kilos soit it will be 65 gram daily , but 65 kilos is 143 lbs ! That is to say my daily protein intake will be 143 gram !!

any help ??

Thanks !!

The recommendations by my universitys doctor were 1.2-1.7g/kg of body weight. If your eating enough calories your protein intake will take care of itself.

Hello !
I don't think 143 gram is bad if i consider 1gram of protein / lbs

But it seems difficult to reach 143 gram/ day without something like whey or other products !

Perhaps you have any advise ?

300g/day, wow !!
Colby , how you will do to eat 300g / day ?

Thanks !

i eat close to 300g of protien a day as well for a few reasons. it is the muscle macro. all macronutrients play their part in gains but minus the pro and keep the calorie surplus and you may gain but it wont be muscle.

when does muscle gain occur... post w/o, at night, lunchtime, 3:34 in the afternoon. actually its some of these and all of these. who knows exactly when so i eat through out the day and include good quality protien in those meals, chicken, eggs, beef, some milk, some shakes, turkey, cheese etc.

also good quality protien typically comes in "good" food (as mentioned above) and as long as you dont consume too much of one kind (all shake diet or a ton of egg yolks etc) your on to a good diet. add in some veggies, fruit, rice (complex carbs) and some healthy fats and your set. i use the above as a basic frame work for my diet and in doing so i still have the occasional pizza, popcorn, candy, chips, name your favorite junk and it doesnt effect me in the least.

now thats what works for me. my diet used to be more about carbs than pro. but ive gotten some very nice gains with this approach as well as feel (overall health and state of mind) great. its not terribly scientific and im not a nutrient timing zealot but i do believe QUALITY protien thru out the day covers a lot of the bases.others would get more benefit from using those cals for more grams of carbs or healthy fats but thats why there are so many flavors of ice cream........you gotta find the one you like.

good luck

It's also very thermogenic which will increase metabolism.

I haven't read into that, but that's what people around here have said. Plus, if my goal is 300... then a very low day will be 200 which is great since I weigh 210.

Hello !!

Ok , i think it is possible to eat 145 gram of protein a day . But what about calories ?

I'am 17 years old and weight 145 lbs and my height is 1.65 m !

Some calculators of Calories need give a result of 1650 calories per day or 1950 calories !

What is your opinion ?

Thanks !

If you are wanting to add mass then you will need more calories than that. I would suggest 16-20x your bodyweight. Being you are young and active, you might need 20x. Anyway, that range puts you at 2320 to 2900. Try eating somewhere close to 2900, get your HST going and watch the scales.

Ok , I think I will start with 2600-2700 calories per day and I will see !!

I 'm afraid of take fat !!! I have already a little belly... and my bf is 22 % but i'm not very sure of this result because i don't look like a fat man...

I would like lose at least 5-7 kilos in two month , it is possible right ?

Are you wanting to lose weight or add mass? My responses were assuming you wanted to add mass from your current level of 143 lbs?

1st make up your mind, do you want to gain weight or lose weight?

Then, for a very simple calculation, Multiply your Bodyweight by

8-10 to lose
11-15 to maintain
16-20 to gain

to find the rough amount of calories you need. Then adjust as needed to accompish your goal.

In fact I will start my HST cycle in july to september ( during summer holidays ) in order to perform a full cycle.

But I want to lose a little weight before ( 5-7 kilos )

I know that answers are for a 143 lbs man , but lose weight before can be a good thing .

In my case ,maybe it is useless to try to lose weight with HST !

What is your opinion ?

I want to add that I 'm a meso man with 87 cm of waist mesurement. Maybe it will help you for your answers !
