Hello guys!

I was reading the Ron Sower’s article “Occlusion”, about “blood occlusion training”. (under “articles” in MaxStim site).

In the article he says that “Fibril size, glycogen, GH and IGF1 are also significantly increased during training with occluded blood flow. (1,7) “…

He suggest to use an isometric contraction after a normal set of reps to “simulate” a mechanical occlusion
To enhance the fiber recreitment etc…

So, a set defined like this :

2 sets of 10 reps
1 set of 20 reps (to enhance blood flow in the muscle, very light, only to make the blood flow happen), and immediately 1 or 2 static contraction (30 second) to produce occlusion…

Should it be helpful to “simulate” the occlusion and make the ormons / recruitment more effective?
