Repeating 5's...question

Hi everyone,

I am in the middle of my second week of my first cycle. I am still some weeks away from 5's but I wanted to get some clarification before I get to them.

As I read in the book, there are two options for the last 2 weeks of the cycle. One can either repeat the 5's or do negatives. I'd like to repeat 5's in my cycles but I am a little confused.

If my max is 60, my workout for the first two weeks of the 5's would be:

Mon - 35 lbs
Wed - 40 lbs
Fri - 45 lbs
Mon - 50 lbs
Wed - 55 lbs
Fri - 60 lbs

That part is clear...But what about the second two weeks of 5's? Do I do that over again (i.e. 35-60 lbs)? Or should the first two weeks be:

Mon - 10lbs
Wed - 15 lbs
Fri - 20 lbs
Mon - 25 lbs
Wed - 30 lbs
Fri - 35 lbs

And then continue upwards to reach 60 lbs in the second two weeks?

Thanks.

No you can either attempt to lift 60 lbs for 6 or even 7 reps or increase the weight to 65 lbs and attempt to get 5 reps once achieved then up it to 70 lbs etc.

edit - just realised you posted a routine a couple of weeks ago, I hope you are doing more than side lateral raises and lat pulldowns (assumed the figures you mentioned are for pulldowns)! If not do not add weight to SLR as you will lose form, in fact you should avoid doing 5s for SLR altogether.
