SD, is it really necessarily?

When I skipped the deload I didn't grow. Another program that calls a single set period a deload IMO would simply negate the RBE. That's just a weak week.
When I'd skipped the 15's, I didn't notice much difference, save a shorter cycle. I do the 15's every other cycle now, especially since I don't do much cardio. If the 15's are seeming to be too easy by the 3rd workout, I say increase the weight even more.
No work; no results.
I think the deload is directly connected to the idea of using submax weights and growing from them. If you do not deload, you'd might as well just do failure training.

But maybe that's more for us older lifters, who don't recuperate like you #@^&*~`@ing whippersnappers...
