Table Spoon?

in grams, does it matter what it is?

surely a level table spoon is the same no matter what type of food it is?

Well, if it's liquid it will always be the same in ml which from 13-16 ml (there's conflicting numbers on this), in grams it's a whole different story because it depends on the density of the food in question. ml is a volume measure, not weight. So if you really want grams then there's no answer to your question.

A tablespoon is a measure of volume not weight.

The USDA class an american tablespoon as 15ml

an NZ tablespoon is also 15ml

an aussie tablespoon is 20ml, cos they gotta be different.

But a teaspoon is nearly always 5ml all over the world

but you should be measuring things with proper measuring spoons, not just the teaspoons etc outta the drawer, because they are made as big as the company feels like.
