Testos Results - what does that mean

Hi All

On the main forum I was stating that I've never got any real results [at least the results reported by people on this board - i've never gain 4kg LBM over 8 weeks of training!]

Someone suggested to check my levels of test; so here they are, but is this low for growing muscle? What has been peoples experience?

Testosterone: 12.8 nmol/L

LIPID PROFILE
CHOL 3.92 nmol/L
TRIG 0.4 nmol/L
HDL- C 1.24 nmol/L
LDL-C 2.6 nmol/L

Appreciate any feedback. I've got no idea.

Thanks
ROCCO!

ok, for the LIPIDs that should be mmol/L

NOT nmol/L

In my opinion (I'm not a physician), this cannot be interpreted without also knowing the Estradiol level (E2). It would be good to get the whole picture too: DHEA-S, DHT, SHBG, Free Testosterone, Total Testosterone, E2. Did you get any of those?

I didn't get any of that done but I also had these figures below next to my results. Guess that must be the normal range ??

Testosterone: 12.8 nmol/L [5.2 - 22.0]

LIPID PROFILE
CHOL 3.92 nmol/L [3.57-5.20]
TRIG 0.4 nmol/L [0.0 - 2.3]
HDL- C 1.24 nmol/L [0.9-1.45]
LDL-C 2.6 nmol/L [2.6-3.3]

Appreciate any feedback. I've got no idea what all this means. Or how to improve the results, if they are bad.

Thanks

I've been investigating it all and getting ready to be tested for HRT myself. From the ranges posted and your results, I can say that most any doctor untrained in Andropausal medicine will see you in the "normal" brackets and tell you you're fine, as mine did.
They don't take into account that you don't HAVE to suffer low test, insulin resistance, and glucose tolerance anymore as you age. But the HRT trained docs will check you out more thoroughly, as Spike told me, and the clinics I called. Everyone I've talked to who had low test (looks like you do, since 'low normal' is bad for BB) and got HRT is loving it. More energy, better sleep, libido, fatloss and muscle gains.

That's for ME baby! (if I qualify with my heart thingy)

It is quite low though not too bad for the range. Here lab ranges are 8-35 so you can see yours would be quite bad.
You need lh/fsh, thyroid, bound test, and oestradiol taken first.
Unfortunalty no doctor will typically treat that result so you if further results show a problem you will need to see a hrt specialist
