The Anabolic diet and my PH balance

Hi everyone,

Following this diet makes ma PH very acidic and I experience gastro-oesophagus ebbs.

Does anyone knows which supplement can I take to make my PH more alakline? I mean I eat veggies and take a veggies supplement (Emerald balance) everyday but this is not enough.

Almonds are very alcaline but have too much calories, is there a supplement there that is powerfuls that can counter this?

Thanks!

Have you tested your pH to measure it or are you just assuming this based on your symptoms?

If you like spinach then it would be perfect, it's very low in carbs and on of the most alkaline vegetables available.

Supplementing with magnesium, calcium, sodium and potassium and perhaps a little bicarbonate would help.

Stephen Phinney, a researched who has done a lot of research on ketogenic diets, suggests 2-3g of potassium and 3-5g of sodium on a ketogenic diet.

1500mg calcium citrate and magnesium citrate would be a good idea too, minus whatever calcium you are getting if taking a dairy protein supplement.

based on my symptoms.

Yes I like spinach but I can't prepare it at every meal...I have to take some magnesium citrate supplement as it's more practical.

Thanks.

What is there to prepare? Rinse it off and eat it!

You can buy spinach leaves at the store for the same price (or cheaper) as bagged lettuce/salad mix.

Heheh, we have these BIG bags of spinach for a good price at the local Kroger grocery...and it's called...POPEYE spinach.
The bigger the bag, the more you need to turn it over and look at the leaves on the bottom. You'll often find wilted material in the bigger servings.

My body has a natural acidic base to it. Ecological Formulas has a product called Tri-Salt. I take a quarter of a teaspoon of the stuff and put it in my protein shakes and it takes care of the unbalance. It has Calcium, Magnesium, and Potassium in it. I tested myself after I took it for awhile and it rebalanced me out. Plus the stuff is cheap, you can get a 200 GM bottle of it for about $8.00.

I still dont buy the whole blood pH for health thing, but I have noticed that eating "basic" foods helps relieve acid reflux and sour stomach symptoms.
