I was looking for a little feed back about the Warrior Diet. Specifically if anyone has used it, what the results were, how the diet interacted with HSt training, etc... Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

nstavale,

I've followed the Warrior diet for about 2.5 - 3 years (on and off).  Usually 5-6 days per week; but sometimes only 3 or 4 if work requires a business lunch.  I've found it to be very anabolic and conveinient.  I've gained an appreciable amount of size & strength while on it.  The key is committing to the overeating cycle; getting in 150g - 300g of protein (depending on your size) over a 4 -5 hour period in the evening.  A typical evening following a full body workout is:

over a 4 -5 hour period:

100g protein shake
big salad
12-16 oz steak
potatoes or rice or pasta
2-3 cold cut sandwiches on wheat bread
chips
20 - 30 oz orange juice
candy bar or ice cream
another protein shake it you want

It can work for you if you're committed.  For some the conveinence is worth it.

Wow that is alot of food! How have the muscle gains and fat loss gone? Its funny in high school when i was playing baseball, during the season I actually followed this diet without even knowing it. I couldnt eat anything before games without feeling bloated, full, or slugish. Any advise or information would be helpful.

FYI-I think I'm a little bit of a genetic freak when its comes to muscle gain, I pack it on to a point its almost ridiculous. I only take a creatine NO blend as far as supplements.

nstavale,

I guess it seems like alot when you write it out, but it doesn't feel like that much when you haven't eaten all day. Gains have gone pretty well. I've worked myself up to 255 lbs @ 15% bf; both arms measure 18.33"; and I inclined 365 for 3 reps last Saturday. I know what you mean about the baseball. I can only workout on an empty stomach now or I don't even bother. I am also using creatine (no load just 5g a day) and a pre-workout NO product with 400 mg caffiene and a mountain dew during the workout. I'm not an expert on the Warrior Diet - I haven't read the book. But if you google it, you can find just about all the info you need to put together a plan.

I think most people like this diet because the name sounds cool. Saying you are on a diet sounds girly to some guys, but not if you stick the word Warrior in front of it! Then it magically becomes manly and good.
