    Perfect HST routine

It's because the 10's do work. Jester just doesn't think so. Like I just said, even Bryan said gains will be more or less consistent if you do it right. Because it does. Not just water retention and glycogen storage. And here's a quote from Blade, pretty relevant to this discussion And like...

    need suggestions

I think Colby meant "throw in" ;) Yes, larger muscle groups vs smaller ones. But that routine of yours is fine. You can simply add in some extras if you really feel certain muscle groups are lagging. If not, then enjoy the cycle.

Your contention then is that only heavy phases will be useful for hypertrophy. That's like 8RM+, I believe. You just made the the entire 10's and possibly the early 5's pretty useless and pointless. And yet, for hypertrophy, Bryan mentioned that your gains should be more or less constant during...

Macronutrient Make-up of a Good Diet

Yes, protein consumption is usually increased. Have you heard of PSMF? PSMF is a diet that takes that to, say, extreme levels. Haven't tried it myself but some guys report it works well.

Macronutrient Make-up of a Good Diet

Eat enough protein, eat enough fat. The rest should be carbs. Too much protein is not ideal if you plan on gaining mass due to thermogenesis (specifcally, the specific dynamic action due to energy required to process protein). Stick with .8-1.5g/Kg (about .7 g/lb, which is simply conveniently...

Eating at maintenance, then upping cals

If clearly at a deficit, generally no, unless you have a high BF (really fat, beyond the upper limit of the healthy range, which for men is 20% BF), and the deficit is not so much. At maintenance, possible, yes, but very slowly - and depending on a lot of other factors like activity level aside...

Negatives mean you concentrate only on the eccentric portion of the lift, not on the concentric because you can't lift it by yourself anyway since you'll be using loads in excess of your 1RM. For example, if your max bench press is 200, you load 220 on the bar, then a friend helps you lift it...

    Alternating workouts

Not really. Progression is ok as long as you correctly get your maxes for each exercise. What it affects is neural learning, which may interfere with strength gains. Neural learning is why 1 is better than 2, and 2 is better than 3 when it comes to alternating routines, as you said.

    Quick Question

Or just lower the carbs. If you lower your fat too much, not only does that affect t-levels, but would also imply you would limit your intake of good fats.

    new hst routine

For the past months, since fully recovering from a minor shoulder injury (right shoulder) due to astoundingly poor bench press form two years ago, I have been experiencing no joint problems at all. I don't really like changing my exercises, so it's no problem personally for me. If it really is a...

    new hst routine

2 sets chest + burn set (when heavy), 2 sets rows + burn set (when heavy). Everyday literally so 7 days. Sometimes I miss a day or two, but it doesn't bother me much. Yes, I eat a lot. Not really a horse though. A little over 20x my bodyweight everyday only. Not sure if it's "lower...

Am I really to start with such light weights?

Submaximal load, yes, but not exactly under your capabilities. This is where the confusion lies a lot of times. You should be doing as much volume as you can in a given load - whether that is 1 set, 2 sets, 3 sets or even more - as long as you can still train as frequently. So you really aren't...

Getting back after a 4 month layoff

To get the feel of your maxes now, you can just retest them. If I were in your shoes, though, I personally would go use light weights (15s or 12s) first, then continue the standard progression from there, perhaps using each weight twice or thrice before incrementing by 5 to 10 pounds.

    Perfect HST routine

I don't think we're seeing eye to eye hear Since CT is proportional to load, then if you end up at the same max loads, you arguably will probably end up with comparable CT. (We're simply assming all other details are more or less equal). With comparable CT, that genreally means, lesser loads...

Been 4 months with no results..Big help needed

Well, that explains why we didn't meet eye to eye. When dieting, protein is kept high for better TEF, which we want to avoid when we are bulking.
