Fascinating indeed.  Thanks for the post, leanlifter.

    Testosterone levels

Another issue is levels of free testosterone. Nettle root extract seems to be promising in the area of reducing steroid hormone binding globulin (shbg) and thereby increasing free test. There is a product soon to come out called Activate that contains the specific chemical in nettle root that...

    Hormone modulation information

After xahrx mentioned a supplement containing nettle root extract that reduced steroid hormone binding globulin (SHBG) level, I did a quick Google search for more info. Here is a link to some interesting info on hormone modulation therapy in older men. I thought the article was very informative...

ON Cycle-How Close is this to a steroid?

I checked out the ingredient list. There are no obvious prohormones or steroids there. The main ingredients seem to be Tribulus terrestris (puncture vine) and longjack. Both of those may boost testosterone somewhat and are found in a host of other less expensive products. The rest of the...

A future supplement in young blood

I ran across a report about a recent study that sounded interesting.  If the factor or factors can be identified, they would make a great supplement for us older folks. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2005/02/050223122458.htm

    Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)

Thanks dkm. I'm not familiar with most of those plants, but Zingiber officianale is good old ginger root. It looks as though some of those plants warrant further investigation.

    Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)

Thanks for the feedback, BIZ. Fenugreek is another herb I've been reading about lately as well. One person on another forum reported using it for PCT and claimed it was the best of the herbal testosterone boosters. He said he found it to be much better than Tribulus. One side-effect I've seen...

    Insanely low LBM?

I think the analyzer scale is way off. It looks to me as though your bf is around 12% based on your picture. I'd say your routine and diet are working. Keep it up. As soon as you get a little more definition in your abs, you'll be ready for a bulking phase. I know some who would say bulk now.

    Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)

I've been tempted by what I've been reading about a Malaysian herb called longjack (aka tongkat-ali): http://tongkat-ali-herb-testosterone.com/ A search on Eurycoma longifolia in PubMed generates lots of hits (mostly by one author) that indicate longjack has some pro-sexual effects in rats and...

Creatine gives me the high speed shakes

Are you taking just straight creatine monohydrate or is it mixed with other ingredients? If you are using just straight creatine monohydrate, I don't have any idea what would be going on. Creatine monohydrate alone has virtually no effect on insulin as far as I know. I've never heard of...

huge triceps from close grip bench

I don't have the book so I can't tell you which exercises emphasize just the long and lateral heads, but I do remember reading in "Muscle meets Magnet" by Tesch (he's the guy who did MRI studies on muscles during various exercises), French presses (skull crushers) on a slight decline...

    15's after first cycle?

The key is you can skip the 15s IF you are feeling no joint problems after your 5s. I did skip the 15s for my second cycle, but I now think that the benefits of the 15s are sufficient to go ahead and include them even when my joints are doing fine.

    good protein bars

My local health food store carries a brand called BioProtein. The double chocolate is tolerable as protein bars go. I get them for $1.19. For 21 g of protein, that's not bad. My only complaint is they use high fructose corn syrup.

    Desperate to fill out/bulk

At 14 pounds per stone, you weigh in at about 126 pounds. I sympathize completely. At 17, I was almost 6' 2" at 135 pounds. I'll wager that any muscle you do add will be readily visible. Read the resources available and ask questions. Folks around here are very helpful and incredibly...

Anyone heard of negative side-effects of Flavones?

I haven't heard of any negative side effects, but then again, I don't think methoxy-isoflavone has been studied much at all - at least no studies I've seen. Do you think methoxy-isoflavone did anything positive for you?
