Yeah that bearhug technique is what I usually see for spotting, but generally people don't do negatives on squats. It can be pretty dangerous if you ask me. I just up the weight and start clustering, myself.
I have those hooks.. they didn't hook enough though and I always felt like I was going to drop the weight. Hopefully they'll work better for you than they did for me though. I just got worried that the weight would slip out.
Yep, you can either do the morning routine again in the pm, or you can switch up the exercises from am to pm. You can also, do upper body in the morning and lower body at night etc. Lots of variety, that's one of the great things about HST.
