    Leonardopm's Bulking Log

I ate some junk last Saturday and had digestive issues again. Today I weighed 207 lbs after a terrible Sunday with stomach aches. Trained at noon, first session after SD and return to bulking diet after two months cutting. Weights were heavy as hell. The first session after SD is always...

    Planning Next Bulk. Thoughts?

5RMs: Bench press - 86kg OHP - 42kg Pull-ups - BW + 8kg Dumbbell row - 30kg Deadlift - 94kg Squat - don't know, quit doing a few months ago I made 5 bulking cycles this year and progressed my lifts between cycles from 5 to 10% depending on level of proficiency in each lift. BTN are really...

    Planning Next Bulk. Thoughts?

Jester, I thought you were talking other thing about progression. Surely I adopt a 5% progression per SESSION, as prescribed on Vanilla HST. My doubt is if I should change progression per CYCLE, concerning bench. In other words, after getting my new 5RM on a cycle how much should I increment it...

    Planning Next Bulk. Thoughts?

Adpowah, Lateral raises are a good choice but I'll wait a few months to add them because I'm still weak to have a good progression on this lift. It's in my future plans.

    Planning Next Bulk. Thoughts?

Thank you all for the input. Jester, rack pulls seem to be a good choice but my gym doesn't have a power rack and I can't look for another one at the moment. There is a Smith machine so I could try and see if it works. I used to squat on this Smith but i stopped as it was killing my knees...

Ok, these two days I ramped up calories to 2700, 2900 and today I should establish my maintenance (3000) for the rest of week. Feeling a bit fuller today. Gained 1.5 lbs since Monday.

    Planning Next Bulk. Thoughts?

Hi, As said in the training log topic I just ended my cut and I'm currently SDing (and eating at maintenance). Meanwhile I'm planning my next bulk. I made good gains the first bulk and I pretend to keep the Vanilla scheme but I'd like to emphasize more my arms, upper back and shoulders. I...

    Leonardopm's Bulking Log

Not really. My previous bulk I gained around 28 lbs in nearly 7 months. I started 193 lbs @11%BF and ended at 221 @ 14%. This time I'm restarting a bit less lean than before but I intend to go until 15% so I believe I'll bulk the same 7 months or close to it.

Fantastic. That's exactly what I noticed when bulking on HST. It also breaks an old school myth.

Back To Hst After 6 Years. Previous Gains. New Goals And Concerns

I can assure we aren't as advanced as you concerning facilities to do tests. It doesn't seem to be a major issue anyway. About set point you probably is right. I restarted weight training about 15 months ago after a 3 year complete layoff and I remember to have restarted considerably leaner...

Back To Hst After 6 Years. Previous Gains. New Goals And Concerns

Any clues on how to estimate hormone level? Libido? Strength? I believe is not practical nor cheap to keep testing hormones. I believe one could estimate his set point based on the difficulty to lean down below a certain level. Makes sense??

    Weights, cardio and stuff log

Lol...I also can't fit in regular jeans, hips always get tight. Besides that people also look at me and get impressed with my weight. I believe we have similar bone structures. The only difference is that you are WAY bigger than me. But you bet I'll catch you!

Back To Hst After 6 Years. Previous Gains. New Goals And Concerns

I believe % is good to measure progress and to comparisons but I wouldn't worry too much about the numbers. Since we don't have labels on our faces telling our BF I believe that the mirror is what matters. As I said my initial plan was to cut until 10% but I'm currently little above 12% and...

    Weights, cardio and stuff log

...what leads to you an impressive 96kg of LBM. That's the number I got on max-size-calculator as being my genetical limit, so I established it as my long-term goal. I have a heavy structure so probably will be a little less dificult to arrive at this number than lift the absurd amount of...
