How do i figure out my maintence level in Cal?

are there any actual metabolic tests, rather than formulas, that measure various aspects of metabolism, given that different people have different BMR's (i'm assuming there is BMR variance within a given BF value)

    sexual abstinence and performance

hm - www.actionlove.com - this site seems to claim that kegel exercises are bad and can lead to premature ejaculation. http://www.actionlove.com/extra/pcexercise.htm poorly designed site and confusing to navigate, but that part i quoted does seem to apply to me.

but i'm still confused as to which muscle i should be contracting - like i said, there are two sets of muscles i can contract - the posterior (one used to hold in a fart) and the anterior (the one that moves little johnny) I can't flex the anterior without the posterior also contracting, but i...

    sexual abstinence and performance

judging from the abstract, it seems that the rise in testosterone may be sustained until further ejaculation, but it's hard to decipher the wording - it's not very clearly written, or maybe it's just my inexperience at decoding scientific data. Either way, I didn't wait long enough to find out :P

    sexual abstinence and performance

bah i never understood the pc muscle - the descriptions of how to locate it are too ambiguous for me - there are two sets of muscles i can feel - one set is farther back from the other, (let's call the closer one A and farther one B) Now all the advice says it's the muscle that stops the flow...

    sexual abstinence and performance

How long have you gone dry for? After the first 3-5 days it's pretty much smooth sailing. The first 48 hours or so can be gruelling to say the least, but hell it probably builds character or somethin.

    sexual abstinence and performance

once u close the floodgates for a few days, the dam builds up a lot of strength and it takes less and less willpower to abstain. At least this is my experience.

    sexual abstinence and performance

wow. after about 10 days of absolutley no sexual activity, i went to the gym for the second time during that period, and i couldn't believe my strength. For the first time ever I was able to lift almost as much on the second sets as i was on the first (and this is during 5 rep max phase). This...

    (non-)sense of creatine supplementation

I haven't read the nutrition/supplement faqs or threads yet, but based on what you've told me about creatine (short term strength and hydration benefits), it seems that there would be long term benefits. With increased strength comes increased potential for more fibre damage. I am guessing...

    Rep Ranges

in a sense you do. after 5's/negs you take SD. then you do 15's for maintenance. And then you do the 10's Doing the 10's directly after 5's would go against progressive loading principles, and also increase risk of injury since you need rest after the 5's/negs

    Rep Ranges

if 5's build strength, then they're perfect for being able to facilitate a greater mechanical load with more hypertrophic rep ranges.

When I get hungry I get tired

If it's becoming a concern, I'd go see an experienced doctor for advice. I've never actually read anything about hypoglycemia - those symptoms i listed are purely from observations of my own personal experiences. Off the top of my head, perhaps you can tweak your diet to adjust glycemic...

I didn't know where to put this so i put it here

when i first started working out, I used to get exertional headaches - intense mothas - they'd last for up to a week, and be quite debilitating. It was like a double throbbing up a dual pathway from my neck to my head, and the onset was when i exerted myself in chinups or squats for example -...

When I get hungry I get tired

don't think of hypoglycaemia as a "pathological condition" - it's just a general state of low blood sugar, and some people are more prone to attaining a hypoglycaemic state than others - remember it's a matter of degree. When I was a kid i became quite hypoglycamic easily - probably...
