    About 10-15% of the calories in most of the foods we consider "pure carbohydrate" (e.g. pasta, cereal, bread, spuds, etc.) actually come from protein. I've read that one should count this "protein from carbs" towards one's daily total, but somehow I feel I'm short-changing...

    I see. If you mean a FAQ about Primer and Driver, I definitely missed it. In fact, I still can't find it. I just searched for "driver" in the HST FAQs forum but nothing came up; same thing when I searched for "primer". Can you post the link to the FAQ you're talking about?

    One serving of Primer (or Driver) has only 4 g carbs. I'm surprised by this low number for carbs in a pre- or post-WO drink. Is one supposed to add carbs to the drink? Thanks! kynn

    I've come across a few times the recommendation of a 50/50 (or 40/60) mix of dextrose (glucose) and maltodextrin for the carbs in a post-workout shake. Is there any scientific basis for this recommendation, or is it an bodybuilding old-wives tale? kynn P.S. I understand why maltodextrin is...
