I tried something similar to it two years ago and the results were amazing. I prefer to use the neutral grip hand position to put less strain on my wrists and elbows. And remember, slow strict style is the way to go. No squirming or not going completely to the bottom of the movement to impress your buddies. It will take at least 1/2 of the effectiveness away. Hanging at bottom of the last rep is a way to make it even more effective.
