Ideally, we shouldn't have to do this. I personally hate it when I go to register to a board and then have to confirm it AND also wait for an admin to find time to actually allow me to join the board. It's a pain. That's why HST was one of the best forums for me... completely hassle free. Unfortunately, when it is abused, we have no choice

Hahaha, well, I'm actually thorough about it.

When someone goes through step 1, that means the email is legit. So less problem for me. Then I go to examine the user profile... stuff like messenger info (msn, yahoo, IRC) and the homepage (does it sell porn or cialis or illegal substances or whatever). If things check out fine, I approve the registration and the member can start to happily post in our fantastic board ^__^
 
I have to thank Bryan and all of you guys for making this a board that is worth working hard for. ^__^
