big arms

I had never lifted weights before I started several months ago. After 1 month I went from 14 inch arms to 15 inches - quite a surprise. I had not yet heard about HST, so at the time I was just doing random workouts. I mostly focused on larger movements such as bench press, military press, bent-over rows, shrugs, squats and deadlifts 2-3 sets in the 8-12 rep range. My arms were usually so tired by the end of it that I did not do any curls or other isolation arm movements.

So for me, compound exercises - not isolation - did the trick at the beginning. It is too bad that kind of growth can't be sustained :) Now that I am on HST, I am still getting about 1/4 inch a month as I am now at 15 1/4"

Personally, arm blaster curls worked amazing for my biceps brachii...

I find inclined hammer curls to be the best for pure size. I have always loved concentration curls though for shape.

Because its possible to 'reshape' a muscle, isnt it? :)
