Assume that many of you have done this diet but is it compatible with HST or should it be done as Duchaine recommends only training 3 times per week (split workouts on Monday and Tuesday and full body carb depleting to failure on Friday) and under 12g of carbs
 
I preferred the carb depleting workout at end of week rather than the beginning, so just wondered what other people's experience of this diet was.
 
Not familiar with it, sounds a lot like UD 2.0 (an upgrade of Duchane's diet, done by Lyle McDonald).

Carb depletion timing depends on your goals.
 
When you deplete glycogen, there is an upregulation of fat burning. If you do that in the end of the week cycle, you won´t have these benefits.

However, having the glycogen stores full, makes the enviroment more anabolic.

The UD2 have the two goals within a week cycle by first depleting the glycogen stores and burning fat and sencondly by supercompensating those stores and making the enviroment more anabolic
