Creatine uptake

Just browsing the local supplement store, and one of the creatine products said that creatine should always be taken on an empty stomach but with glucose.

First of all that seems to be a slight contradiction, but secondly, is that the case? An empty stomach is better for uptake from the GIT ?
 
Only studies i`ve encountered are that caffeine may inhibit the intake of creatine. Other than that you should take carbs with creatine to enhance the intake
