Getting started in cellular biology.

Dan,

I've decided to take the time and learn more about muscle at the cellular level. Having read through your posts and web pages at hypertrophy-research, I realize this may be a tall order. Without repeating an undergraduate degree, where do you suppose I ought to start?

Thanks.

Hey QP, what I did was to read everything I could find on WikiP first. There's a fair bit of stuff there. Some of it is good and some of it could be better but it'll give you a good start. Then for further reading, you'll find a ton of links to follow to other sites.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skeletal_muscle

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myofibril

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarcomere

And then sites like this are useful:

http://muscle.ucsd.edu/musintro/jump.shtml

(Be sure to keep bookmarks to any sites you like or you'll get frustrated when you can't seem to find them again.)

Of course, there are a ton of decent books on the subject. Dan and others may offer some advice on these.
