Gymnastic Rings

Anyone in the UK got hold of some decent gymnastic rings?

I did a search: The best I could find was through the London Crossfit outfit but £54 + £10.50 for shipping (that's a total of $127) seems a bit excessive for a couple of rings and a few bits of webbing.

Are there rings made for other purposes that would do just as well?

Cool! Having rings in ones homegym would be awesome....until I try one of those olympic gymnastic static holds and break every muscle in my upper body

Let us know how they turn out if you do make them. I've been thinking about getting a set of rings and, like you, was a bit put off by the prices I found. Have you tried eBay? I haven't yet because I just now thought of it.

Actually, I've never bought anything on eBay. I've been looking at Crossfit a lot recently and may give it a go in the near future after I learn to OH Squat, snatch, properly rack the bar across my shoulders. and improve my pullups to more than 3 reps.
