Has anyone read Gordon Lavelle's "Training For Mass"?

I have just finished this book, which is based off of a High Intensity Training method, and wanted the opinion of others. For me, the science and the theory behind HIT seems to be legit. I feel that the simple fact that Gordon LaVelle mentions HST and Bryan Haycock as having as legitimate theory and scientifically based training program (HST) only helps to add to Gordon's credibility. Still, I'd like the opinion of others on the forum here, or even Bryan himself...

I've read HIT theory's solution for sticking points is adding rest days between every workout every time a sticking point is experienced. Ever-decreasing workout frequency is a good reason for the body to add as little muscle growth as possible, isn't it? You're not giving the body a reason to add an optimal amount of muscle growth because of such low eventual frequency. Not to mention gross deconditioning.
