how soon to train after main meal

due to time constraints, I can only train after dinner. How long should I wait, and do i still need to take a pre/post workout drink?
Mark :) if this has been previously addressed,please direct me.

Training after dinner depends on the size of your meal. Is it a heavy meal? Also, are you able to eat something after your workout? Do you also have use of a protein drink that you can take prior to your workout?

The best case scenario would be to have a protein drink a half hour before working out followed by your dinner (solid meal). If a protein drink is not available, try dividing your dinner into two portions. Take the first portion a half hour before working out and the other half immediately after your workout.

Personally, I'd workout two hours after a solid meal, and even so I'd still take a protein drink thirty minutes prior to my workout.
