hst vs push/pull/leg x2 a week

So I am new here and my goal is hypertrophy and I have been doing pull/push/legs twice a week with one rest day my question is which one is more optimal for hypertrophy ?

you can do both. HST works with that too, though higher frequencies are encouraged.
 
I think you would find it more effective to do an upper-lower split, 3 days per week. Higher frequency and less intense for your elbows, shoulder joints.

Make sure you're piling on the food in either case.
