Intense cardio and HST?

I am an avid cyclist and do intense group rides 3 days per week. I also love to work out with the weights and have always done both together but with an HIT style workout. I do back off the weights in the summer but I don't like to stop altogether. I am wondering if HST is a good combination with the cycling that I will be doing or should I leave the HST until next winter when cycling season is over?

If there were only two of me these decisions would be a lot easier. :D
 
If you eat enough it's possibly ok, and even though you could make it work it's probably better overall, easier and more efficient to practice one discipline at a time, and you'll get better results in both pursuits. Just my 2 cents. Could be wrong
