Load Progression for 6x

I have seen may a opinion on this, but I have never seen any justification for either. I seem to find that larger progression (5% of 5RM or greater) leads to the most growth personally. That being said, it is almost impossible to add 5% per day for 12 days, not starting with an incredibly low weight. So, the option would either be to go lower than 5% per day, or to double up loads (5% up every other day). Less than 5% per day has its obvious disadvantage: stimulus is not as "different". But what I do not understand is if you increment every other day, is the second workout at the same weight even of any value?
Which of these would be better in terms of RBE?
