Loss of muscle...

  1. If someone needs to stop exercising for a while, will loading up on protein (and eating enough calories) prevent muscle loss?

I think up to a month before significant muscle loss. The problem is that the body tries to mantain what it percieves is "needed" to mantain current activity. The extra protein is useful, but after awhile the body shrinks again. This also applies to other adaptative responses like bone mass, skin tan, and tolerance to Bill Philips.

  3. I see, Jules. I appreciate it!
