Maximums

Does anyone retest their maximums after each macrocycle, or do you just gestimate a new max and use that? If you do retest, when do you do it?
 
I just estimate based on my last cycle. As I finish each rep range, I make a note of how hard the last set was and what I think I can do with the next cycle.
 
I usually take my old repetition maximums and add 10% to them.

I only reset my MAxes when i introduce new exercises to my program, or if become stronger - other than that everything stays the same.
 
I like your approach, ilFacell; it's simple and realistic while keeping things on an upward trajectory. I'm on my first HST cycle and will do that for my own maxes next time around.
 
What mr Nasty said, but also what ilFacell said too- in other words, I'll increase when I feel ready, and usually by about 10%.
