Maybe I should have been more specific.
By straight protein powder, I meant something like optimum nutrition or EAS, 2g sugar maybe, no carbs.
I actually drink my post workout shake with a cup of oats, so Im getting carbs.
I also drink another shake, no carbs in the evenings, either way, using milk or water, makes me sleepy, as in, if I am idle for too long, I out. zzzZZZZ
