Quest. about warmups for 5RM

5s - 1 set 5 reps @ 50% of working weight
1 set 3 reps @ 70% of working weight
1 set 2-3 reps @ 80% of working weight
1 set 1 rep @ 90% of working weight (optional)
Whats the general "break" time in between the warm up sets for the 5RM cycle?
Also, quick question: do you drink your protein shake 30minutes before and after your workout? Or right before and after your workout?

I'm a little confused on your warming up for the 5's, because it looks like you are doing at least 4 warmup sets? The articles on HST say about 50 - 70% of the weight you are about to use should be a sufficient warmup.
 
I would only warm up that much if going for a max lift or something. That seems like way too much to me, but some people seem to need more warmups than others.
I usually don't do any warmup sets after my first exercise, which is usually squats or deads. I'm all warm after that!
