taking crearine for the first time, help!

i ve decided to supplement with pure creatine instead of the high priced/high sugar creatine formulas that are available.

I plan on eating well and supplementing with protein, fatty acid blend and multi-vits, as my main goal is to increase muscle size.
Am i right in thinking that even though the sugar creatine might be more effective, the extra gains over pure creatine would be canceled out by the increase in bodyfat from the sugar? Especially if i am eating well to start off with.

How do you guys take your creatine? just in water? some people take it with grape juice. should i bother??

If your having a pre-workout shake, just drop it in there, or post workout if need be.
On non training days just knock it back in water at somepoint, probably breakfast.
 
the sugar is for the insulin spike, which increases the absorption of the creatine. if timed around your workout, it won't cause you to gain fat.
