To shave.....or not to shave??!!

Okay, after a year of shaving my torso & arms, I figured I'd buzz the legs, too. I noticed I looked kinda silly with a bare upper body and "Cousin It" legs.

So, I did it. Part of me thinks I look silly, but part of me thinks "Heck, I look like a porno dude, now."

.......unforutnately, my wife thinks I look silly

Oh, well.....can't please everyone.

Perhaps there's a lesson to be learned there? Ask the little lady first next time perhaps?

Most of the girls I have known are not too keen on the teenage boy look (ie. hairless). Frankly, I'm jolly glad. That's one less thing to have to worry about. Obviously, if you were entering a bb comp that would be a whole different matter. So what's your excuse then?

Boy....tough crowd!

I had a lot of hair on my legs, and being how it's near-summer here and all, it really did look stupid to have a bare upper body and really hairy legs.....

Plus, the chicks around here dig that look. It's definitely "in"...but the NY/metro area has always been a bit wacky, anyway

Metro isn't manly, but your RM's are, so I'll shut up there!

ive shaved my legs before but that was yrs ago when i was into bicycle racing. yes, chicks did like it but i shaved for cycling not for them or the look so that could have something to do with it.
chest is an individual one. some folks have hair growth amount/pattern that just looks stupid and would look better (even without much muscle) without the hair. if your lean with some muscle i could see why you would shave appearence-wise.
never shaved arms (forearms).

you gotta realize the situation youve put yourself in. if your not doing a show, not road cycling and shaving more then just your chest then your doing it simply for appearences sake. those that like that look will give you the attention your looking for. those that find that kind of effort silly and narcissistic will probably share their opinion too. you just have to figure out where your most comfortable and.........be comfortable, regardless of others.

Yeah, my member rating took a beating when I admitted I trimmed the wheels

And I admit, I'm not competing, I'm not bike racing, I'm not swimming. I am, however, going to spend many weekends this summer at the Jersey Shore....

Lol!!! Unfortunately, no, Metro is a far cry from Clint Eastwood...but yeah, at least my RMs aren't fruity. D'oh!!!!

I often shave my chest area and when I can my back (I have a stupid hairgrowth in my back just over my scapulae).

Have done my legs before but it just ended up showing some spider veins that did not look cool at all.

I am one hairy monkey, specially on the chest area, it kinda protrudes out of my T-shirts (the ones with low collars)

Hey, I'm glad I'm not the only one who has done it before...

I shave my legs. But then again I bike about 500km per week.
Also, if you do a lot of dead lifts, it helps to shave and grease up the front of your legs.
All this gay radar crap is just that, crap.

Shave and grease yourself up is not gay ? ? ?
Here in Atlanta it would be!

Kidding aside, I got my deads with Sumo style to not hit my shins anymore, and not really dragging on the thighs either.
Guess I won't need that grease after all...

I keep my upper torso shaved and shave the rest once or twice a year. It helps me to assess my progress and pick out any lagging body parts. The hair tends to mask the truth.
