I was reading http://www.dolfzine.com/page462.htm about how muscle tension is a lot greater in your strongest range e.g when your arms are almost straight for chinups. Has anyone combined HST principles with partial reps and really heavy weights? I know its a bit Pete Sisco but since HST is all about tension it should work. Any thoughts?

Yeah, a lot of customization techniques such as pulsing, partials, and static holds can be used when the load is really heavy such as the post-5's or negatives.

Oh, and about the article - that's more or less dealing with what we call loaded stretches. Finding exercises that stretch the targeted muscle are good.

How do I implement a loaded stretch?

would be grateful for your thoughts
