Vitamin packs vs tablets

In every article regarding the gym iv ever read one is instructed to take a vitamin pack a day. Are these different to the vitamin tablets you can buy in every shop and chemist in the world, are they better or just a money spinner??

The general idea is to just take your vitamins. A good well rounded multi-vitamin is all you need.

The only difference will be the amount of vitamins and other 'bells and whistles' in the different brands. Some may just be a basic vitamin pack, some may be vitamins, minerals, athletes formula, etc. etc.

I don't think it matters too much to tell the truth. It's just there to cover your bases besides your food intake.

Agree with Lance on this. A multi isn`t really going to make or break your routine as you should be eating properly anyway. That being said, I take a multi just to be sure (it`s tough work eating well consistantly). Just go with the cheap multi like twinlab, KAL, Costco etc. . . and use the money you save on a protein supplent, more and better food, or you could even save the money you save ;).
